Mitchell Beazley has announced a new cookbook from Sabrina Ghayour, the author of Persiana, called Simply: Easy Everyday Dishes.
Stephanie Jackson, publishing director at Octopus Publishing Group, acquired World rights in all languages from Martine Carter at Sauce Management to publish in September 2020.
Publishing as a £26 hardback, Simply will be a collection of "unmissable" dishes from Ghayour, centred on "fabulous flavours" with "minimum of fuss". It is the fifth cookbook from Ghayour, with sections including Effortless Eating and Traditions With a Twist, comprising over 100 recipes for enjoyment throughout the week.
Jackson called the new collection "quintessentially Sabrina", describing the recipes "generous, sustaining, scrumptious. It’s food you can almost throw together, that really pays off on the plate – that perfect mix of minimum effort, maximum reward," she said. "A new book from one of the UK’s most popular home cooks is an event to relish; we’re incredibly proud to be publishing Sabrina’s fifth."
Ghayour commented: "I am so excited to share Simply and its recipes. It features some of my favourite Persian recipes but also, as ever, my focus stays on simple, flavourful and economical dishes with maximum flavour and minimum effort and skill required. Simply straightforward, vibrant plates of food to suit one and all."
Ghayour's debut cookbook, Persiana, was awarded "Best New Cookbook" at the Observer Food Monthly Awards 2014 and "Book of the Year" at the 2015 Food & Travel Awards. It was followed by books Sirocco, Feasts and most recently Bazaar.
