Octopus has announced the new cookbook from bestselling and award-winning author Sabrina Ghayour, Persiana Easy.
Publisher Kate Fox will oversee the book after former publisher Stephanie Jackson (who earlier this year left Octopus for DK Life) bought world rights from Martine Carter at Sauce Talent.
Persiana Easy will be released in August 2025 and will be a new collection of “inspiring recipes, each carefully designed to be as easy as possible”, Octopus said, promising "irresistible Middle Eastern flavours with accessible cooking".
Ghayour was born in Tehran and moved with her famiily to Britain when she was three. The self-taught home-cook-turned-chef, cookery teacher and food writer made her name hosting the hugely popular Sabrina’s Kitchen supper club in London, specialising in Persian and Middle Eastern flavours, and went on to be named the Observer’s Rising Star in Food.
Persiana Easy is the eighth book Ghayour has published with the Hachette UK division, which kicked off with her breakout debut, Persiana, in 2014.
In the decade since Ghayour has shifted over £8.1m through Nielsen BookScan UK, and her titles have been sold into 22 territories.
Fox said: “Nobody does home cooking like Sabrina… every recipe is created with so much care and thought into how readers can maximise flavour in the easiest way possible. It’s a true treasure trove.”
Ghayour added: “For me, ease can be delivered in a number of ways and as always, I’ve wanted to deliver big flavour with minimal effort in a variety of different recipes ranging from the simple, more everyday recipes to recipes for times when something a little more special is called for, giving something for absolutely everyone for every mood and occasion.”
