Orbit signs new fantasy romance trilogy from S T Gibson in six-figure deal

Orbit has acquired a new series from S T Gibson, author of A Dowry of Blood and the upcoming dark academia romance An Education in Malice (also Orbit). 

Tara Gilbert at KT Literary sold world English rights in the new trilogy to Nadia Saward, commissioning editor at Orbit, in a six-figure deal. Executive editor Brit Hvide has acquired for Orbit US and publication is planned for 2025.

The series is described as “Wuthering Heights meets The Cruel Prince (Hot Key Books), a luscious fantasy romance set in the Scottish Highlands featuring fairy bargains, crumbling old mansions and multiple steamy romances".

Saward said: “I’m delighted to be publishing more books from S T Gibson. Saint’s writing is deliciously dark and beguiling, and this new series is going to bewitch readers.”

Gibson said: “I’m so excited to be working with Orbit again on this sumptuous, sultry story dripping with magic and passion and tangled loves. Rooted in folklore and my love of angsty romance, it’s my wildest ride yet, and one I can’t wait to take readers on.”
