Curtis Brown Group will from now on handle translation and TV/film rights for Orenda Books, according to a deal signed by both companies.
Luke Speed of Curtis Brown will handle Orenda's TV and film deals, whilst Kate Cooper and her team, including Alice Dill and Mairi Friesen-Escandell, will look after translation rights sales.
Karen Sullivan, publisher at Orenda Books, said: “Orenda Books has grown quickly and achieved success beyond my wildest dreams. I am thrilled to announce a new partnership with Curtis Brown, undoubtedly one of the leading international literary and rights agencies, to ensure that foreign and TV/film rights are sold around the world. There has been far more interest than I have ever been able to accommodate with any efficiency in such a small company, and know that we are not just in safe hands, but the best."
Sullivan launched Orenda Books, which publishes literary fiction and crime thrillers, in 2014. Its authors include Micheal J Malone, Agnes Ravatn, Ragnar Jonasson and Amanda Jennings.
