Beach Hut series author Veronica Henry is branching out with a debut non-fiction release celebrating food and life by the sea, acquired by Orion.
Orion Fiction publisher Harrier Bourton bought world all language rights from Araminta Whitley at LAW for A Beach Hut Life. It will be published in summer 2020 alongside a new novel, A Wedding at the Beach Hut.
The book is described as “a collection of enticing recipes, both to cook and eat on the beach, or back at home after a day at the beach hut, or to recreate the beach life at home. It will include lifestyle tips about getting the most out of life by the sea and extracts from Veronica’s Beach Hut fiction.”
Henry, whose 20th novel A Home from Home, was released on 25th July, said: “The Beach Hut novels have struck such a chord - it seems everyone loves a beach hut. I wanted to write something that allows people to enjoy a bit of the beach hut life even if they live far away from the sea. I've loved pulling out all my recipes, from crab linguine to clotted cream ginger scones, to share with my readers.”
Bourton added: “A Beach Hut Life is a joyful celebration of life by the sea and the moments we enjoy there with the people who matter most to us. Veronica brings her trademark warmth and passion for the coast to her first foray into non-fiction with sparkling style.”
