Orion Spring is publishing the first book from "The Only Way Is Essex" (TOWIE) star Lydia Bright in June next year, following a "hotly contested" auction with three other publishers.
Publisher Amanda Harris bought world rights to Live, Laugh, Love, Always Lydia by Bright from Lauren Gardner at Bell Lomax Moreton in conjunction with Insanity Talent Management.
Bright, now a fashion designer, campaigner and blogger, first appeared on ITV2's "The Only Way is Essex" in its first series at the age of 19.
In Live, Laugh, Love, Always Lydia she goes back to the beginning of TOWIE, sharing how she landed her dream job on the show to her "Cinderella moment" at the BAFTAS. It will also include details of her "life-long" love affair with fellow cast member James ‘Arg’ Argent, which ended earlier this year.
The title also contains childhood anecdotes and life lessons from her time in the spotlight and as the co-founder of fashion company, Bella Sorella, plus fashion inspiration, career advice and dating tips.
Harris said: "Lydia Bright is an inspiration. A fashion icon, TV star and the most glamorous and popular 'girl next door' on our screens, Lydia is also an impressive businesswoman, blogger and fundraiser. Part style-guide, part memoir, Live, Laugh, Love Always Lydia will be packed with advice on fashion, beauty and careers, as well as including the twists and turns of her own story so far. Lydia promotes independence, strength and confidence – her warmth and enthusiasm could power the national grid. I'm so thrilled to publish Lydia and her exciting first book."
Bright said: "I pinch myself all the time over how lucky I’ve been in life, particularly landing a place on TOWIE six years ago. Through it I have grown from a quiet, vulnerable teenager, who was honestly a bit lost in life, into an entrepreneur, fundraiser, worldwide adventurer, and now an author. And what an adventure this book has been to write. I have laughed, cried, cringed and beamed with pride recounting all the crazy stories I have put into it. The ‘Love’ chapter needed to be completely rewritten half way through which was tough . . . but it worked a bit like therapy and has taught me so much about myself. I can’t wait for it to hit the shelves next year. Fingers and toes crossed that you like it."
The book will be published by Orion Spring on 15th June 2017.
