Orion Spring has secured a deal for Tarot Therapy: Harness the Healing Power of the Deck by Leona Nichole Black.
Ru Merritt, commissioning editor of Orion Spring, bought world rights from Julia Silk at Greyhound Literary. Orion Spring will publish in hardback, e-book and audiobook on 7th July 2022.
The publisher said: “Having built a dedicated and engaged community of tarot followers online, Leona Nichole Black is at the forefront of a movement which blends the knowledge of the tarot deck with introspective and enlightening questioning. As a well-established and beloved tarot therapist then, Leona now brings her insights into an accessible guide that helps readers embrace the transformative effects of tarot.
“In Tarot Therapy, through the 22 major arcana cards, Leona explores life from all angles—love, healing, change, purpose and more—to help readers better understand their current situation, comprehend past events, and consider what the future might hold. It is a reflective guide that will, through guidance and prompts, help you understand your power to make new choices at any given time.”
Orion added: “An inclusive and practical companion for anyone interested in the tarot and making a change in their life—and without requiring readers to have a deck—this book is perfect for those completely new to tarot, as well as those looking to expand their practice and understanding.”
Black said: “Tarot Therapy is a book about life changes, challenges and the beauty of connection. I have written this book to share my story and my tarot therapy approach with readers. Showing that through a tarot therapy practice we can restore trust in ourselves, find hope and confidence, and have wise support to navigate the obstacles and pains of life. In this book you will uncover powerful personal truths and learn how to make the best choices in uncertain times.”
Merritt said: “Each year it seems like we’re being shaken by yet another surprising mass event, whether it’s from the political world, a social movement or, of course, a global pandemic. There’s never been a better time then to open our minds to what we can learn from tarot and help ourselves find some guidance in what can feel like a very chaotic world. I’m so happy that Leona has written a book that will help us find our own way through it.”
