Pan Macmillan has pre-empted the “intoxicating” debut novel from social media creator Cameron Capello (@thechamberofsecretbooks).
Assistant editor Kinza Azira acquired world English-language rights to I’ll Look for You, Everywhere in a pre-empt from Lauren Spieller, literary agent at Folio Literary Management. Pan Macmillan will publish I’ll Look For You, Everywhere in hardback in summer 2024.
It is described as “a love story for the ages”, following Theo and Magdalen, childhood neighbours who return to the small Italian village where they grew up for a family wedding, and who are forced to face long-buried secrets that threaten to tear their worlds apart.
Azira said: “I’ll Look For You, Everywhere is a truly perfect summer love story – think the sun-kissed vibes of The Summer I Turned Pretty (Penguin) with the romantic angst of Magnolia Parks (Orion), all with the magic of Cameron’s laugh-out-loud humour and compassion for the complexities of what it means to love. I couldn’t be more excited to be publishing I’ll Look For You, Everywhere, and can’t wait for Cameron’s many fans to fall in love with Theo and Magdalen as much as I have.”
Capello said: “I am so thrilled to be working with Pan Macmillan, and I cannot wait for readers to meet Theo and Magdalen! Sharing I’ll Look For You, Everywhere with everyone who’s supported me throughout these years is a dream come true.”
