Pan Macmillan has signed a four-book deal with Elaine Everest, including the next instalment in the Woolworth Girls series.
Wayne Brookes, associate publisher, acquired world English rights from Caroline Sheldon at Caroline Sheldon Literary Agency.
"I’m really pleased Macmillan are to be publishing another four of Elaine Everest’s wonderful sagas, as will her army of fans, who eagerly await each new publication," commented Sheldon.
Celebrations for the Woolworth Girls will be published in library hardback on 31st August 2023 with the paperback following on 12th October 2023. The Teashop Girls at War, the next instalment in the Teashop Girls series, will be published in library hardback on 14th March 2023, with the paperback following on 25th April 2024.
Brookes said: "The Woolworth Girls series of books is now as much-loved as the Woolworths stores themselves once were. Elaine has a tremendous voice and she knows exactly how to tug at readers’ heartstrings by taking her characters through every situation and emotion there is. I am also delighted that Elaine will take us back to the world of the Teashop Girls for her second book in this contract. I am so happy to be working with Elaine once again and cannot wait to step back in time to the wonderful world of Woolies."
