Pascale flies to Bluebird

Pan Macmillan’s Bluebird imprint has signed a new title by Lorraine Pascale, as well as two further titles by Joe “The Body Coach” Wicks.

Publisher Carole Tonkinson bought world rights to Pascale’s Bake from Eugenie Furniss at Furniss Lawton, and will publish in spring 2017. Pascale has previously been published by HarperCollins. Tonkinson said: “Nobody bakes like Lorraine - hers will be the go-to book for a new generation of bakers. This is going to be a beautiful, highly designed book that will inspire newbies and aficionados alike.”

Tonkinson also bought world rights to a paperback fitness title and a food book by Wicks; both will be issued in 2018. Bluebird already has rights to four titles by Wicks, whose Lean in 15 has topped the Official UK Top 50 for nine non-consecutive weeks in 2016.

The imprint has also hired Jodie Mullish, previously head of marketing at Pan Mac’s fiction department, as its new communications director.
