Pavilion will publish Challenge Everything: An Extinction Rebellion Youth Guide to Saving the Planet by a founding member of Extinction Rebellion Youth London, Blue Sandford.
Neil Dunnicliffe acquired world all language rights direct from the author. The book will publish on 6th August 2020 and all royalties from the book will go to support the work of the Extinction Rebellion Youth.
Challenge Everything is 17-year-old Sanford's manifesto detailing how young people can help save the planet by "questioning everything about modern life and acting upon their conclusions."
The handbook is aimed at young people aged 14 and above and aims give them "a purpose—what to do, when to do it and why to do it". It will also ask readers to "challenge government, challenge business and above all to challenge themselves and change their lives to make a difference."
Sandford commented: "The climate and ecological crisis is a huge threat to our generation and the future, but most of the time you get so bogged down in conflicting advice that it’s hard to figure out how to make a real difference. With this book, more than any specific things you should or shouldn’t do, I’m trying to convey a mindset—to ‘challenge everything’: to think for yourself, be rational, understand consequences, be compassionate and think about what you really want and need."
Dunnicliffe added: "Sandford asks us to challenge everything—big business, government, but, most of all, ourselves, to save the world from climate collapse and to make the planet a better place. I think it’s a book that all young people should read, to spur them on to fight for a better future."
