Penguin Life has landed The Veg Box: 10 Vegetables, 10 Ways from the duo Stephen and David Flynn, also known as The Happy Pear.
Emily Robertson, editorial director, bought world rights from Faith O’Grady at the Lisa Richards Agency. The Veg Box will be published on 9th June 2022.
Penguin said that The Veg Box "will inspire readers with new ways to cook 10 essential veg" with whole chapters devoted to re-inventing different vegetables from cauliflower, leek, mushrooms, beetroot and potatoes in “family-friendly meals, quick weeknight dinners and sweet treats”.
The pair are the authors of five cookbooks and the brains behind a number of vegan products and a suite of online courses that have helped more than 50,000 people become healthier.
Stephen Flynn commented: “We are so excited about our new book The Veg Box because it makes cooking veg easier and tastier than ever before. We have focused on one veg in each chapter to give you 10 fresh and exciting ways to cook with each ingredient, each recipe only has 10 ingredients or fewer, so that you can easily whizz up delicious meals with any veg you have lying around, reduce food waste, and understand how to eat more seasonally. Eating more veg is the single biggest way to reduce your impact on climate change and we believe this book makes it much easier and tastier to do just that!"
Amy MacWalters, whi is covering Robertson’s maternity leave, added: "I love that this book provides the solution to the problem that so many of us are facing – how do I eat more veg and make it really tasty? Stephen and David bring their signature flavour and vibrancy to every page and show just how easy it is to eat sensational food that is better for our bodies and for the planet. It will be a must-have for every kitchen."
