Penguin Michael Joseph bags Tu’s ‘definitive’ finance guide Rich AF

Penguin Michael Joseph has acquired Rich AF, “the definitive guide to today’s personal finance landscape for everyone who hasn’t had a seat at the financial table”, by founder and c.e.o. of Your Rich BFF Vivian Tu.

Senior commissioning editor Karolina Kaim bought UK and Commonwealth rights from Fiona Baird at WME. Rich AF will be published in January 2024 by Penguin Michael Joseph, alongside Portfolio in the US.

The publisher says: “Revealing how to get rich and using the author’s relatable style to make talking about money less taboo, Rich AF will reveal the secrets of the rich and wealthy across seven accessible chapters, dispensing fresh, easily digestible advice on how to think like a rich person and create smart money habits.” 

Tu is a former Wall Street trader and TikTok content creator. She also hosts the podcast “Networth and Chill”.

She said: “For far too long, wealth-building has felt out of reach if you didn’t come from a posh background. However, I believe everyone deserves the chance to be financially stable, and I hope to democratise personal finance by providing a blueprint readers can use to level up their own relationship with spending, saving, and investing their money. We all deserve the opportunity and information needed to be rich AF.”
