Penguin Michael Joseph has signed The Ultimate Air-Fryer Cookbook: Quick, healthy, low-energy recipes for every occasion by Clare Andrews.
Editorial Director Dan Hurst acquired world rights directly from the debut author, for publication in hardback in February 2023.
“The internet is awash with articles directing shoppers to the best air fryers on the market,” the publisher said. “Keen home cook Clare Andrews was gifted an air fryer early in the lockdowns of 2020. Unsure of what to make she started exploring the possibilities and sharing her quick and delicious recipes on Instagram through her account @AirfryerUK, soon amassing a dedicated following looking to share her expertise.
“This – her first book – includes over 80 recipes covering everything from meat and vegetables to desserts and cakes.”
Andrews said: “When I got my first air fryer, I didn’t know what to cook with it – other than chips. I soon found that there are no end to the healthy and delicious dishes that you can make and, after starting to share my creations on my @AirfryerUK Instagram account, it quickly became obvious that there were lots of people out there starting out on their air fryer journey who need these kind of recipes.
“The soaring energy prices that we are currently experiencing have really brought the cost-saving abilities of the air fryer into focus and I’m really thrilled to be able to share my recipes in this book."
Hurst added: “The cost of living crisis is making us all think twice before turning on our oven, and the air fryer offers a brilliant alternative that is far cheaper and quicker to run. Clare’s recipes are brilliantly simple, taste great and will save both money and time – the kind of dishes that every busy person needs in their weekly repertoire.”
