Penguin Michael Joseph has snapped up Craveable, the first book from chef and social media creator Seema Pankhania.
Cookery publisher Dan Hurst bought world rights from Alice Russell at The Found, and the book will be published on 21st November 2024.
The synopsis states: "Craveable is the first book from Seema in which she shares joyful, flavour-led dishes that are sure to satisfy every mood and appetite. Inspired by her travels and the food cravings we all share, Seema will take readers on a journey of fresh, comforting, salty, sweet and celebratory meals, as well as a whole chapter of emergency dishes for when you need something delicious and nourishing, but don’t have the time or energy for shopping or cooking."
The author began her career as a chef in the Gordon Ramsay restaurants Lucky Cat and York & Albany, and went on to be a food creator for "Mob Kitchen" and her own food platforms.
Pankhania said: “I’m obsessed with food – with cooking it, eating it and talking about it. I’ve had some of the best experiences of my life because of food, so I hate the thought of anyone being put off by unnecessary rules in the kitchen. That’s where the idea for my book came from; I wanted to encourage people to have a go – to experiment with flavour and have fun."
Hurst added: “Every page of this book is suffused with that sense of fun, as well as being packed with the most incredibly delicious and achievable recipes."
