Piatkus Fiction swoops for eight Rebecca Yarros backlist titles

Piatkus Fiction has acquired eight backlist romance titles from Rebecca Yarros, author of Fourth Wing, published by Piatkus on 2nd May 2023.

Rebekah West, editor, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to the eight titles from Entangled Publishing. Among the eight titles are five novels from Yarros’ Flight & Glory series, to be published in June. Also included is The Renegades trilogy – comprising Nova, Rebel and Wilder – which will publish simultaneously in paperback and e-book format on 13th August 2024.

West said: “Before Fourth Wing, I was an avid reader of Rebecca’s romances, so it is a dream come true to add more of her work to the Piatkus list. Yarros has always had a way of writing that both tears out your heart and makes you smile – the entire team is incredibly excited to get these romance stories out into the hands of her avid UK fans. Don’t forget to bring tissues!”

Yarros said: “I’m thrilled to continue my relationship with Piatkus to bring my romance backlist to the UK. This series is close to my heart, and knowing Rebekah loves my characters as much as I do has made working with her a phenomenal experience.”

According to the publisher, more than 420,000 copies of Iron Flame and Fourth Wing have now been sold through TCM UK Bookscan. The third installment of The Empyrean series, Onyx Storm, will be published globally on 21st January 2025. Fourth Wing is shortlisted for this year’s British Book Awards’ Book of the Year: Page Turner prize, while Iron Flame is shortlisted for Book of the Year: Fiction.
