Plexus is publishing David Bowie: Starman: A Colouring Book.
The "cultural history in pictures" reveals the late musician's 50-year fashion evolution in 30 illustrations by illustrator Coco Balderrama. It will be published on 21st March, priced £9.99.
Sandra Wake, editorial director for Plexus, commissioned the book. Its publication will follow just four days after Quercus' The David Bowie Colouring Book by Mel Elliot.
Pitched as "no ordinary colouring book", as well as providing a playful activity, it is said to be "different" in the fact it features an introduction to "Bowie’s style legacy" from Sheryl Garratt, ex-editor of the Face and the Observer Magazine and "pithy" commentary from Laura Coulman throughout. It will be "peppered with quotes, facts and memories of Bowie from those who knew him best".
Balderrama graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2005 and has "a passion for beautifully designed fashion and textiles, eye-catching typography and intricate patterned illustrations".
Coulman, a lifelong fan of Bowie, is the editor of a variety of music books and the author of Strange & Beautiful: The Fabulous Style of Lady Gaga (Plexus).
