PMJ to publish Robertson's Notes from a Small Kitchen Island

Food writer and Telegraph columnist Debora Robertson is publishing Notes from a Small Kitchen Island with Penguin Michael Joseph.

Slated for spring 2022, the book will be "an evocative collection of essays written in Debora’s warm, funny, candid style, woven with over 70 of her favourite recipes".

Described as "a love letter to food and cooking, to home life and London, but also to summer holidays and fresh baguettes", the book covers topics from roasting the ultimate chicken, and learning how to throw a party without losing your mind, to her secret recipe for Negroni Marmalade.

Editorial director Ione Walder bought world rights from Tessa David at PFD, commenting: "Debora’s proposal arrived at a time when we were all suddenly stuck at home. But instead of pining for the wider world, her tales of domestic life rejoice in the simple—but wonderful—pleasures, to be found close to home and show how joy and adventure can be resurrected within our own four walls.
