Penguin Michael Joseph (PMJ) has acquired three titles in the Maxton Hall series by author Mona Kasten.
Editorial director Hannah Smith acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Tawanna Sullivan at Berkley. The three books in the series, Save Me, Save You, and Save Us, will be published for the first time in the English language in paperback, e-book and audio in 2025. Cindy Hwang at Berkley will publish in the US. Flavia Viotti at the Bookcase Agency brokered the deal, representing German publisher Bastei Lübbe.
"The series follows Ruby Bell as she enters the world of the English upper classes at the prestigious Maxton Hall boarding school," the synopsis says. "All she wants is to work hard and earn her place at Oxford University, but when she discovers a scandalous secret about the renowned Beaufort family she attracts the attention of James Beaufort, Maxton’s sexiest bachelor. Forced to work alongside each other for the school’s annual gala, the two discover they have more in common than they think. Before long, James and Ruby can’t deny the attraction building between them."
Editorial director Hannah Smith said: "As a long-time fan of Mona’s series, there aren’t enough words to say how delighted I am to be bringing the world of Maxton Hall to the English language. Mona is such a talent, and her characters already have audiences captivated across the world. We’re ready to team up with Berkley in the US and continue to bring this world to life."
