Penguin Michael Joseph (PMJ) has announced it will publish “Bake Off” star Nadiya Hussain’s Nadiya’s Everyday Baking this autumn to tie in with her six-part BBC Two series “Nadiya Bakes” following the success of a previous book tie-in of the same name.
Ione Walder, non-fiction publisher, bought world rights, all languages, from Anne Kibel at AK Artist Management. This will be Hussain’s seventh book with Penguin Michael Joseph and is scheduled for publication on 1st September 2022.
According to the publisher, Nadiya’s Everyday Baking promises to show readers how to use the oven every day of the week with more than 100 recipes, from simple weeknight meals and quick-fix lunches to achievable bread recipes and beautiful celebration cakes.
Hussain said: “I love baking and the endless creative options it provides: from showstopping celebration cakes to quick-fix weeknight dinners. I’m so pleased to share my top tips and favourite recipes to help you make the most of your oven – every day – in my new cookbook with Penguin Michael Joseph.”
Nadiya’s Everyday Baking is Nadiya’s seventh cookbook and second baking book, following the success of Nadiya Bakes, which the publisher said has sold more than 165,000 copies to date. Her BBC TV series of the same name attracted almost two million viewers.
Walder added: “Nadiya’s first baking book, Nadiya Bakes, is the best selling of all her cookbooks so far, and we know many people are eagerly awaiting a second volume of baking recipes from her. Where her previous baking book was more of a classic ‘bread, cakes, cookies’ offering, Nadiya’s Everyday Baking goes wider and includes baked meals, savoury snacks and lunchbox solutions, while of course not forgetting all those glorious sweet treats and cakes you’d naturally expect. This is baking for any and every type of day, and is all about letting your oven do the hard work so you don’t have to.”
