Penguin Random House has acquired Eat Happy: 30 Minute Feelgood Food by Melissa Hemsley.
Lizzy Gray, publishing director for Ebury Press, acquired world rights all languages to the title.
Hemsley's collection of over 130 "original, nutritious" recipes "celebrates easy and practical home cooking and bold, flavoursome dishes, featuring simple versions of take-away favourites, supermarket ingredients, frugal cooking and an eye on reducing waste", according to the publisher.
Hemsley said: "Over the last few years, I've been cooking up and down the country as well as across the world and listened to what people most love to cook as well as what they're looking for in order to make eating well even easier in their busy lives. My new book brings together all these learnings into a collection that I hope people will enjoy cooking from every day."
Gray said: "Ebury are proud of the success we have achieved with Hemsley + Hemsley’s two cookbooks with sales of over 240,000 copies, European, US and Australian editions and a TV show that’s sold into 18 countries. Melissa’s new book will bring innovative, delicious and attainable meals to an even broader readership and her down-to-earth warmth and refreshing realism will chime with a new audience as well as existing fans."
Hemsley is one half of the Hemsleys, the culinary sisters who own the food business Hemsley + Hemsley.
The Hemsley's primetime cookery show was on Channel 4 and distributed worldwide. They have published two books, The Art of Eating Well and Good + Simple (both Ebury).
