Penguin Random House (PRH) Children’s has bought a second novel by Martin Stewart, author of Riverkeep.
The Sacrifice Box is about a group of teenage friends whose childhood antics from a past holiday come back to haunt them.
Publishing director Shannon Cullen, who bought world rights from Molly Ker Hawn at the Bent Agency, said: “The Sacrifice Box further cements Martin’s position as one of the most exciting new voices in UK YA. Martin’s skill as a storyteller fills me with huge excitement and we look forward to the publication of Riverkeep this month, then to following up with this equally impressive and evocative novel in 2017. Watch this space.”
North American rights have been bought by Ken Wright, vice president and publisher of the Viking Children's Books, part of Penguin Young Readers Group in the US.
