Penguin Random House (PRH) Children’s has acquired the UK and Commonwealth rights to Full Disclosure, a “powerful” YA novel by 18-year-old debut author Camryn Garrett.
Full Disclosure stars Simone Garcia-Hampton, a black teen born HIV-positive. Raised by queer parents who assure her that she is not defined by her diagnosis, Simone navigates a whole new world of fear, disclosure and radical self-acceptance when she falls in love for the first time.
Emma Jones at PRH Children’s struck the deal with Cecilia de la Campa at Writers House and will publish simultaneously with Random House Children’s US in 2019.
Jones said: "Effortlessly funny and powerful, Full Disclosure is exactly the kind of bold, fresh and inclusive YA that we have been waiting for. I completely fell in love with Simone’s voice and knew from the first page that we had an extremely special manuscript on our hands – Camryn is an astonishingly talented writer and we couldn’t be prouder to be launching her extraordinary debut.”
