The series, called The Rosewood Chronicles, is about a 14-year-old called Lottie who starts at a boarding school called Rosewood Hall. There she shares a room with the crown princess of Maradova and inadvertently finds herself imitating her roommate so the princess can experience normal teenage life.
Publisher Ruth Knowles and commissioning editor Holly Harris acquired world rights from Richard Pike at Curtis Brown, who was acting on behalf of Mark Walker at Free Focus Management. Glynn will write the novels herself and be edited by Knowles and Harris.
Knowles said: “Connie oozes creativity, and her energy for and commitment to this series is infectious. Through her online channels she clearly demonstrates her talent and vision, and she connects inventively and authentically with modern teens. This transfers wonderfully to the page. Her writing, and the cast she’s created, has such spark and shows such skill as a storyteller.”
PRH Children’s will host an event to launch The Rosewood Chronicles at Bologna Children’s Book Fair. Book one in the series will then be published on 21st September.
