Puffin has bought a third book in the Danger is Everywhere series by Irish comedian David O’Doherty and illustrator Chris Judge.
Commissioning editor Anthea Townsend bought world rights to Danger Really is Everywhere: School of Danger from Faith O’Grady at the Lisa Richards Agency and Philippa Milnes-Smith at LAW.
In the third book Doctor Noel Zone, a professional “dangerologist”, joins the staff of a school to highlight the dangers within, including vampire teachers and haunted books.
O’Doherty (pictured) said: “Dangerologist Docter Noel Zone, a man who regularly confuses my barbecue for a volcano, has really done it this time. He's going undercover at the local school where, in addition to his job of making lunch, he plans to investigate whether any of the staff are vampires or robots, and to find out who has been stealing all the bikes.”
Publication is set for 29th September, priced at £7.99.
Danger Really is Everywhere: School of Danger follows on from Danger is Everywhere and Danger is Still Everywhere, which are also published by Puffin. Danger is Still Everywhere is shortlisted for the the first Laugh Out Loud Book Awards (Lollies) in the category for Best Laugh Out Loud Book for 9–13-year-olds.
