Olivia Edwards, editorial director, and Nicola Carthy, editor, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from James Munro at WME. Illustrations by Gareth Conway were acquired by Edwards and Carthy from Susan Penny at Bright on behalf of Gareth Conway.
Its description reads: “Greg, Gloria and the mini sausage rolls are rounding up all their friends – 11 elves a-wrapping, eight reindeer munching, five doughnut rings… Join the festive countdown as they get ready for Christmas Eve – and the best Christmas party ever. Packed with laughs and festive silliness, this board book is the perfect gift for Greg’s youngest fans, introducing little learners to their first numbers in a fun and entertaining way. With colourful illustrations throughout and a surprise gatefold ending, this book is an ideal stocking filler or Christmas Eve Box treat.”
Edwards said: “This board book is a brilliant addition to the Greg the Sausage Roll Christmas collection – and just like LadBaby’s Christmas number one singles, I hope families everywhere will be singing it for many years to come.”
Mark and Roxanne Hoyle added: “Greg the Sausage Roll: 12 Days of Christmas is more than just a book; it’s a musical journey that’s all about getting kids singing. Research has shown that rhyme and singing play a vital role in children’s development, fostering coordination, imagination, concentration, memory, confidence with language, and a love for reading. Having experienced the joy of five Christmas number ones, we wanted to inspire the next generation of kids to start reading and celebrating the magic of Christmas through the power of song.”
