Puffin has scooped Greg the Sausage Roll: The World’s Funniest Unicorn, written by Mark and Roxanne Hoyle, also known as LadBaby, and illustrated by Gareth Conway.
Puffin editorial director Olivia Edwards acquired UK and Commonwealth rights for the seventh title in the series from James Munro at WME on behalf of Mark and Roxanne Hoyle. Illustrations were acquired by Olivia Edwards from Susan Penny at Bright, on behalf of Gareth Conway, and the book will be publishing on 15th August 2024 in paperback.
"Greg is eager to learn how to be REALLY funny and who better to teach him than a superstar unicorn," the synopsis says. "Hold on tight for a super-silly, super-sweet sausage rollercoaster adventure, full of twists and turns."
Edwards said: “It was a joy to work with Mark & Roxanne to create a magical, new and deliciously silly Greg the Sausage Roll story, brought to life in vibrant colour by illustrator Gareth Conway. With six bestselling books so far – including the recent chart-topping World Book Day title – Greg The Sausage Roll is fast becoming a must-have picture book series, so we’re thrilled to be releasing another Greg’s adventure that we hope families will want to read again and again all year round”.
Mark and Roxanne Hoyle added: "It’s been three years since our first Greg The Sausage Roll adventure and since then we’ve met thousands of young readers on school visits, book signings, visits to Great Ormond Street Hospital and through our partnership with World Book Day earlier this year.
"This summer we’re back with our latest Greg the Sausage Roll Book and we can’t believe it! It’s an incredibly exciting milestone, and a celebration for us and all our readers."
