Pushkin Press has secured six titles from the YA fantasy writer Tricia Levenseller.
Sarah Odedina, editor-at-large at Pushkin Children’s Books, bought UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from Kristin Dulaney at Macmillan in the US. Blade of Secrets, the first “magical” volume in the Bladesmith duology, will be published on 7th April 2021 with the remaining titles following in quick succession.
Odedina commented: “Every so often one gets to read an author who has a complete command of their fictional world, filling it with entirely believable characters, wonderful quest adventures, thrilling relationships (romantic and otherwise!) all set in a world of their own imagination. Tricia Levenseller is one such author. Her books take readers on the best kinds of journeys full of passion, intrigue and populated with the kinds of characters whose flaws and imperfections balance perfectly with their heroism. These are literally moreish books. Read one and you cannot fail to go on and read them all.”
Levenseller added: “I’m so excited that my books have found a home with Pushkin! The team has been fabulous to work with, and I can’t wait for UK readers to see what we have in store for them.”
