Quadrille publishing director Sarah Lavelle has acquired world rights in four more books from the "queen of gluten-free" Becky Excell, in a deal made directly with the author.
Excell has over 300,000 followers on social media and over 1.75 million monthly views on her blog. She has been eating gluten free for 10 years and published her debut cookbook, How to Make Anything Gluten Free, with Quadrille in February 2021.
Excell's second book, How to Bake Anything Gluten Free, will be published in the UK, US and Australia on 30th September 2021. Two further books are scheduled for 2022 and her fifth will be published in 2023.
Lavelle says: "Becky’s the undisputed queen of gluten-free and I’m delighted to be planning four more books with her. She’s an exceptionally talented recipe writer and a dream to work with. How to Bake Anything Gluten Free looks set to make Becky a household name."
Excell said: "The response to my first book has been overwhelming and it’s been an absolute joy to bring back a little culinary joy and normality to the lives of gluten-free people. My second book will show you how to transform your kitchen into your very own personal gluten-free bakery, packed with bakes that don’t look or taste gluten-free whatsoever. Having three more books in the pipeline is beyond a dream and I can’t wait to put even more things back on the menu for anyone who’s gluten-free… including myself!"
