Quadrille has acquired Yoga Happy: Simple Tools and Practices for Everyday Calm & Strength, by yoga teacher Hannah Barrett.
Publishing director Sarah Lavelle acquired world rights from Jenny Heller at Robertson Murray. The title will be published in the UK, US and Australia on 20th January 2022.
Yoga Happy is billed as an "essential companion to help you through life, whether you’re a complete yoga beginner or wanting to deepen your home practice". The book will encourage readers to incorporate key disciplines, thoughts and actions into everyday life and show readers how to "find energy, reduce stress at home or at work, get a good night’s sleep; and learn to cope better with whatever life throws at you".
Barrett has over 360,000 followers on Instagram and launched the Hannah Barrett Yoga App last year. She commented: "Yoga has been a lifeline for me, transforming my life for the better and Yoga Happy is the book I wish I’d had in earlier years. Yoga isn’t just being able to do the splits or a handstand, it’s something we live and breathe. It is a way of life. I am thrilled to be publishing Yoga Happy with Quadrille, their vision matched mine from the beginning and they have been a pleasure to work alongside."
Lavelle said: "Through her social media, classes and app, Hannah has already helped countless people to change their lives and dramatically improve their wellbeing. Yoga Happy expands on that essential advice, exploring the principles as well as the practice of yoga, and how transformative they can be for both your mental and physical strength."
