Quadrille has scooped a recipe book from former "Great British Bake Off" contestant Benjamina Ebuehi.
Céline Hughes, former senior commissioning editor at the publisher, acquired world all-language rights to A Good Day to Bake: Simple Baking Recipes for Every Mood from Martin Redfern at Northbank Talent Management. It will publish on 3rd March 2022.
The publisher said: "Benjamina writes so warmly about cakes and her recipes speak to a natural, seasonal and down-to-earth way of baking. The book contains 70 sweet and savoury recipes for any day of the week, led by flavour, and celebrates baking as a beautiful ritual that deserves to be enjoyed all year round, no matter the day, season or occasion."
Junior commissioning editor Harriet Webster said: “We’re over the moon to be publishing A Good Day to Bake. There is never not a good day to bake—and this book celebrates just that, with flavour-led recipes to enjoy through the seasons and on any day of the week. Benjamina’s unfussy approach to baking makes for a truly inspiring cookbook that is both comforting and delicious.”
Ebuehi added: “I'm incredibly excited to be publishing this book with Quadrille. Baking became such a lifesaver for so many people and a way to be creative during a pretty crazy year. The recipes in A Good Day to Bake really do celebrate my style of baking: unfussy, achievable and led by flavour. I hope these recipes become firm favourites for both new bakers and those more experienced looking for something new.”
