Quadrille has snapped up “Great British Bake Off” winner Giuseppe Dell’Anno’s début cookbook Giuseppe’s Italian Bakes.
Managing director Sarah Lavelle acquired world rights from Vivienne Clore at Vivienne Clore Agency. The cookbook will be published in October 2022.
Giuseppe’s Italian Bakes contains more than 60 recipes for timeless and classic home desserts and savoury bakes. Dell’Anno delivers everything from focaccia to tiramisu in a collection of simple and effective home bakes designed to be accessible to the most inexperienced baker as well as to those that have been baking for a while. The publisher wrote: “Full of Italian classics, each recipe is stamped with Giuseppe’s own signature twist.”
“Like millions of ‘Bake Off’ fans I cheered when Giuseppe triumphed. His enthusiasm and precision are a winning combination, not to mention perfect qualities for writing a cookbook!” said Lavelle. “Many of the dishes in Italian Bakes have been developed from Giuseppe’s father’s notes, and there’s a real sense of the legacy of those classic Italian family recipes. It’s a book that will comfort and delight, and we’re very proud to be publishing it at Quadrille.”
Dell’Anno added: “To me, this book is much more than a stack of recipes; it is a collection of memories. Each bake reminds me of family gatherings and tables packed with delicious food. Capturing them all in a book and being able to share such a legacy far and wide fills me with pride. I can only hope that as many people as possible will enjoy baking these recipes as much as I enjoyed writing them up!”
