Quadrille has acquired John and Lisa’s Kitchen: Everyday Recipes from a Professional Chef and a Home Cook from chef John Torode MBE and home cook Lisa Faulkner, the stars of ITV’s weekend show, “John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen”.
Editorial director Sophie Allen secured world rights from ITV Studios. John and Lisa’s Kitchen will be published in September 2024.
The cookbook “offers the authority of a professional chef with the accessibility of a home cook,” according to Quadrille, with a “host of delectable meals that are bound to become family favourites, as well as lots of tips and tricks and variations to make cooking easier”.
John and Lisa said: “We love to entertain and, of course, we love to cook, but what we enjoy the most is to see other people really enjoy cooking, feeling confident and ready to just go for it! Busy families need simple recipes, and this book will empower people to create delicious meals at home, eating nourishing food from scratch.”
John and Lisa’s Kitchen will contain recipes from the forthcoming series, and a selection of their favourites from previous series as well, so viewers will be able to cook along with what they see on screen. Chapters will include Brunch, One Pan Wonders, Fakeaways, Speedy Go-Tos, Family Favourites, Special Night In dinners, Bakes and Sweet Treats.
Allen said: “John and Lisa bring so much talent, enthusiasm and inspiration to this cookbook, which is a personal expression of their love of cooking and spending time together. They offer stunning, yet achievable, dishes, giving the reader the confidence to create new family favourites for any occasion.”
