Quadrille has acquired Romy Gill’s India: Recipes from Home by Romy Gill, which “takes the reader on a charming journey through her ancestral kitchens in the Bengal and Punjab region”.
Publishing director Kajal Mistry acquired world rights from Tim Bates at PFD, with publication scheduled for 12th September.
Romy Gill MBE is a celebrity Indian chef, food and travel writer and broadcaster. She was one of the regular chefs on BBC1’s “Ready Steady Cook” and has appeared on numerous other television shows. She also contributes to publications including BBC Food, The Telegraph, The Sunday Times, and The New York Times.
Romy Gill’s India includes more than 70 of Gill’s beloved family recipes, from butter chicken, a staple in every Indian home, to the delicious simplicity of her masala omelette, the publisher says, adding: “Romy invites you to savour the authentic tastes of India without the fuss. As well as recipes, Romy imparts her culinary wisdom and invaluable tips to help you craft curries with confidence in your own kitchen, evoking the comforting flavours of home.”
