Quarto dishes up cookbook by TikTok stars Men With the Pot

Quarto has landed a cookbook by TikTok stars Men With the Pot, a.k.a. Polish friends, Krzysztof (Kris) Szymanski and Slawek Kalkraut. 

Thom O’Hearn, senior acquisitions editor, acquired world English language rights to Men With the Pot Cookbook directly from the authors. It will publish in May.  

Szymanski and Kalkraut have lived in Northern Ireland for more than 15 years. They are based in County Fermanagh and met while working at different hotels on opposite sides of a lake. After more than a decade in hospitality, in 2019 they decided to follow their passion for cooking and inspiring others, launching Men With the Pot on Instagram followed by YouTube.  

Their account became even more popular once it landed on TikTok, and the pair have since become one of the first recipients of the TikTok Creator Fund, helping them turn their creativity into a career. 

Szymanski and Kalkraut said: “In our many years of friendship, we’ve bonded over a mutual love of braving the elements to create mouthwatering meals. What started as an Instagram page where we shared our outdoor creations with friends and family, quickly snowballed into a passion project that people all over the world began to connect with.” 

O’Hearn added: “Fans of the Men watch their videos not only because they love the food, but also because Kris and Slawek make viewers feel like they are tagging along for a weekend camping trip. We tried to capture all of that—including their creativity and playfulness—in this cookbook.”
