Quercus has acquired the fourth book by cyclist Geraint Thomas, entitled Great Rides According to G.
Richard Milner bought world rights from David Luxton at DLA and, as previously, Thomas is writing the book with Tom Fordyce who also co-presents “The Geraint Thomas Cycling Club” podcast. The book will be published on 26th October 2023, priced at £20.
In it, the publisher says, “G takes us on the training rides, races and journeys closest to his heart". “From one-day classics in the Peak District and Snowdonia to the rolling roads of Tuscany and the wide-open vistas of New Zealand’s South Island, these are the routes you’ll want to ride alongside Britain’s favourite cycling superstar,” it continues.
To mark publication, Thomas and Fordyce will be holding two live recordings of “The Geraint Thomas Cycling Club” podcast in London and Cardiff, produced by Crowd Network in partnership with TEG Live Europe, United Talent Agency and Rocket Sports Management.
Richard Milner said: “It’s wonderful to have a new addition to our According to G publishing, especially on the back of Geraint gaining even more fans in the way he came so close to winning this year’s Giro.”
Thomas said: “When the fantastic feedback we got for Mountains According to G started to roll in, we knew there was an audience that wanted to read about, and ride, the same climbs that have shaped my career. That was thrilling, and this follow-up book broadens that theme – hopefully we can inspire more people to explore further on two wheels on the roads that I hold dear!”
