Quercus has dished up Plant Protein: 80 Quick and Delicious High-Protein Vegan Recipes from food influencer and nutrition coach Gigi Grassia.
Editorial director Emily Arbis acquired world all-language rights directly from the author for publication on 2nd January 2025.
Grassia has over half a million followers on Instagram and is also a qualified personal trainer. On her channel she shows her followers how to cook "healthy, tasty, easy" plant-based and high-protein meals. In 80 "protein-rich" recipes, Grassia "demystifies how protein works" and how it can be incorporated into our diets without animal products. Recipes include creamy smoked tofu carbonara, lasagne primavera, tempeh cacciatore and strawberry and coconut tiramisu.
Arbis added: "Gigi’s recipes are so inventive, using plants to their full potential to create meals which are incredibly tasty and satisfying, but also healthy and high in protein. Gigi’s focus on vegan wholefoods which pack a protein punch are perfect for readers who want to lose weight without going hungry, build muscle and boost post-training recovery. Everyone at Quercus absolutely thrilled to be working with Gigi on her brilliant debut cookbook."
Grassia added: "My mission in creating food content has always been two-fold: to demonstrate that a high protein diet is possible on a plant-based regimen and to show that food is a love language. Plant Protein is crafted with these principles in mind. This cookbook offers nourishing, plant-based recipes that are rich in protein and fibre, and designed to support a thriving, active lifestyle. But they are seasoned with the most important ingredient: love. And that is the second purpose of the book – to bring love to your meals and help create new memories, much like the cherished ones I have from my Mamma’s and Nonna’s kitchens in Italy."
