Quercus has bought an "inspirational" non-fiction book by Katie Piper on confidence.
Confidence: the Secret will be Piper's second "self-help" title, following on from Things Get Better (Quercus). Based on Piper's own experiences, it intends to show that anyone can find happiness and confidence (including body confidence), no matter what life throws at them.
Quercus acquired world rights to Confidence: The Secret in a deal with Fresh Partners for publication on 29th December 2016.
Piper is an author, speaker, TV presenter and charity campaigner, who has become known as "a voice of empowerment" after suffering an acid attack in 2008. She has written four books including Start Your Day With Katie, Things Get Better and Beautiful Ever After, all published by Quercus.
Piper said: "I’m thrilled to be working with Quercus again and I’m really looking forward to sharing all of my secrets about how to be consistently confident in this book."
A spokesperson for Quercus said: "We feel so privileged to be Katie’s publisher, and over the last few years have been continually inspired by her positivity and confidence. With her previous books, Katie has helped thousands of readers to find strength and hope, and we’re thrilled that she is ready to share yet more of her hard-earned wisdom."
Confidence: The Secret will be published in trade paperback on 29th December 2016, priced £12.99.
