Quercus has scored Sí Señor: My Liverpool Years by Roberto Firmino, one of the club’s most well-known players.
Non-fiction publishing director Richard Milner bought world English language rights from David Luxton at DLA on behalf of Christian Rapp at Rogon, and Quercus will publish on 9th November 2023.
The synopsis says: "Robert Firmino signed for Liverpool in July 2015 and for the next eight years established himself as one of the club’s most popular players. This memoir celebrates Roberto’s cherished years in a red shirt, reliving his time at LFC in the exuberant, impassioned style which made the club’s fans fall in love with him in the first place."
Milner added: "As soon as Bobby announced he was leaving Liverpool we wanted to sign up a celebration of his amazing time at the club. To be publishing Bobby’s own account is as thrilling as watching him score."
Firmino commented: "Over the years, fans got to know Bobby Firmino well on the field, but not so much off it. This is the opportunity to tell my life story, the rebirth I went through in recent years, and, of course, to dive into the behind-the-scenes of the glory years until my departure from Liverpool."
Firmino is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward or attacking midfielder for Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli, which he captains. He has played 55 matches, scored 17 goals and won one Copa America for the Brazil national team. He played for Liverpool Football Club between 2015 and 2023 and is currently the all-time Brazilian top scorer in the Premier League.
