Quercus signs Channel 4's Reyes' guide to life
Quercus has signed Hero Living: Seven Strides to Awake Your Infinite Power by Rudy Reyes, the latest "recruit" on Channel 4’s "SAS Who Dares Wins".
Richard Milner, director of non-fiction, acquired UK rights from Penguin Random House US. The book will be published in the UK on 11th May 2023.
Reyes served three tours with the Marines in Afghanistan and Iraq and, after leaving the Marines, became a physical trainer and public speaker. In Hero Living he introduces his philosophy to life – "part Homer, part Bruce Lee and part Spider-Man". Reyes takes readers through his "tried and tested" program and draws on his "inspirational" story of overcoming poverty and abandonment during his childhood.
Milner said: “Rudy joins a long line of best-selling, motivational writers from an elite forces background, especially with the incredible platform of Channel 4’s television show. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the Quercus list.”
Reyes added: “It is a humble honour to be asked to re-release my book for my UK Family. Seven strides imply movement. Movement with your body, movement with your mind, and movement for your life.”
