Quiller has landed the "fascinating" autobiography of Ted Dexter, the former England cricket captain, chairman of selectors and president of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
Managing director Andrew Johnston acquired world rights direct from the author for 85 Not Out, to be published in July 2020.
Dexter was a hard-hitting batsman and right-arm swing bowler who hit nine centuries and 27 fifties in 62 Test matches for his country, ending his Test career with 4,402 runs.
In 2001, he was named president of the MCC and served as chairman of the establishment’s cricket committee until 2003. Since his retirement, he has worked as a journalist, broadcaster and formed his own public relations company.
Johnston said: "I couldn’t be more delighted to publish this revealing, anecdotal autobiography by Lord Ted to coincide with his 85th birthday. One of the joys of publishing is being able to meet and work with your childhood heroes. I feel as if I have known Ted Dexter so well from seeing him play at Lord’s when I was a young boy, so it is an enormous privilege to now bring his memoirs to publication."
