What Mummy Makes author Rebecca Wilson is moving from DK to Quarto in a four-book deal across the Quarto Group’s Adult and Children’s divisions. Eleanor Maxfield, publisher of Carnival, and Holly Willsher, publisher of words & pictures, acquired world rights from Darryl Samaraweera at Artellus Ltd.
The first of her cookery titles What Mummy Makes: Easy Weaning publishes in June 2025. The book "promises to make life as simple as possible with a one-stop cookbook for weaning your baby and feeding your family at the same time" and includes 100 brand-new recipes. The synopsis continues: "Chapters include specific recipes for first tastes, meals your toddler will love, family staples, veg-packed dishes, batch-cooking saviours, as well as a whole chapter on food for celebrations."
Wilson is a mum, author and founder of the food channel @rebeccawilsonfood.
A second cookbook and two children’s picture books "celebrating the joy of food and eating together as a family" are to follow.
Maxfield said: "Rebecca’s loyal audience love her friendly, accessible approach – and she continues to strike a chord with new generations of parents and carers. We’re delighted to welcome Rebecca to Quarto and provide a home for the What Mummy Makes brand to expand and thrive across global markets."
