Renard Press signs second writing guide from Anna Vaught

Renard Press has signed The Elixir: A Gentle Guide to Craft for Writers, a creative writing guide from Anna Vaught. 

Publisher Will Dady acquired world English rights directly from the author. The book will be published under the Hay Press imprint in October 2025. 

The second in the series, The Elixir follows from Vaught’s The Alchemy: A Guide to Gentle Productivity for Writers, also published with Hay Press, and will focus on the craft of writing and pay attention to mental health and "looking after yourself as your work". The book is "full of joyful, gentle tips and advice". 

Dady commented: "There’s so much heart in all Anna’s books, and in these guides her voice reaches through and lifts up those who are struggling to find the time or energy to write, offering actionable, practical advice. It’s rare to find such things in non-fiction, which is how we know Anna’s struck gold: these books bring joy to all who read them and send downcast writers off uplifted, with a spring in their step."
