Revell signs new five-book deal with Arrow

Cornerstone imprint Arrow has signed five new books in the Shipyard Girls series by Nancy Revell.

Cassandra Di Bello, editor at Arrow, acquired world English language rights in a “significant deal” from Diana Beaumont at Marjacq Scripts.

The Shipyard Girls series follows the lives of a group of courageous women working in the Sunderland shipyards during World War Two. 

According to Arrow, the six-book series is the imprint's fastest-growing saga series. Revell has sold 187,943 books according to Nielsen BookScan, with her bestseller and first in the seriesThe Shipyard Girls at 38,128 copies sold.

Nancy Revell is the pseudonym for writer and journalist Amanda Revell Walton, who lives in Sunderland and draws inspiration for the series from her own family history – having come from a long line of shipbuilders herself.

Di Bello said: “I’ve been lucky enough to work with Amanda from the beginning and am beyond thrilled to know that we have five more Shipyard Girls titles signed up. There is so much passion for the series both in-house and from readers, and we have an exciting strategy to grow sales even further.”

The first book in the new contract will be published in paperback and e-book in March 2020.
