Robinson has signed Food You Want to Eat: Seasonal Cooking Made Simple by TikTok star and chef Thomas Straker.
Commissioning editor Tom Asker acquired world rights to the book, which will be published in hardback and e-book on 6th April 2023, from Honor Spreckley and Sam Copeland at RCW.
Straker, whose viral TikTok videos are followed by more than 650,000 people, has previously worked in two Michelin-starred kitchens in London, Heston Blumenthal’s Dinner and Phil Howard’s Elystan Street, and his own, Straker’s, on Notting Hill’s Golborne Road, is due to open this June.
The publisher says Straker’s uncomplicated, honest cooking makes the most of seasonal ingredients, cooked using simple techniques to create delicious, restaurant-quality food.
With his first cookbook, he is on a mission to bring simple, high-quality cooking into people’s homes.
“Food You Want to Eat is a project that has totally consumed me, fuelled primarily by my love of great food,” Straker said. “The recipes in this book reflect my passion for incredible produce and sustainable sourcing. The food I have been cooking for myself, my family and friends is super accessible and, most importantly, delicious. I am excited to share what I have learnt.”
Asker added: “Since Tom popped up on my Instagram feed a couple of years ago, his recipes have been a staple in my kitchen, so I couldn’t be more excited to be working with him on his first cookbook. Food You Want to Eat promises to be a must-have for every home cook.”
