Ryland Peters & Small has scooped Jenny Tschiesche’s Budget Air-Fryer Cookbook, which aims to help home cooks reduce their energy usage.
Editorial director Julia Charles bought world rights from Jane Graham Maw at Graham Maw Christie Agency. Budget Air-Fryer Cookbook will be published on 12th September 2023 as a full-colour hardback.
The recipes in this book aim to help reduce the amount of energy people use up by utilising the air-fryer instead of the oven or grill. The book explores ideas for using tins, jars and cartons, cooking from frozen, using up leftovers, using cheaper cuts of meat, grains and pulses, vegetable-based dishes and more.
The synopsis said: "Jenny Tschieshe’s first book taught us that an air fryer doesn’t just have to be for beige food. Now it’s time to take things a step further by focusing on making the most of your air fryer in terms of keeping your energy and food costs as low as possible."
Tschiesche is the founder of LunchboxDoctor.com, which provides a range of resources, menu plans, recipes and nutrition advice. She has a degree and diploma in nutritional therapy from Bedfordshire University & Institute of Optimum Nutrition. She is the author of five books, including four recipe books.
She said: “With so many of us now earning relatively less than we did even a year ago, trying to find ways to stay healthy on a budget is even harder. These air fryer recipes are designed to be deliciously simple and cost effective. They’re all about turning budget-friendly ingredients, leftovers, and store cupboard staples into dishes you’ll love.”
Charles added: “Air-fryer fever shows no signs of abating and neither does the appetite for recipes to cook in them. We were delighted to have published Jenny’s Sunday Times bestselling Air-Fryer Cookbook just as the cost-of-living crisis saw demand for machines soar and are equally delighted to be following it up with a second collection of her 100% reliable recipes, this time specifically created with saving money on food as well as energy in mind.”
