Saga author Ford moves to Arrow for 'major' new series

Saga writer Fiona Ford has moved to Arrow for a "major" new series set in and around the shop Liberty's.

Deputy publisher of Arrow, Emily Griffin, acquired world English rights to Christmas at Liberty’s and a further title in the Liberty Girls series from Kate Burke at Diane Banks Associates.

Set against the backdrop of Liberty’s during the Second World War, the series follows the fortunes of a group of women working as silk cutters in the iconic Carnaby Street London store amid the turmoil of the war.

Ford last published The Spark Girl with Orion in 2017. Her first two sagas were acquired by Orion after a four-way auction in 2016 prior to which she also wrote two novels under the pseudonym Fiona Harrison for HQ. 

Christmas at Liberty’s will publish in Arrow paperback and e-book on 15th November 2018. The follow-up, The Liberty Girls, will publish in paperback and e-book in April 2019.
