Hurst Publishers is to release an SAS commander’s account of the Falklands War with a foreword by Sir Max Hastings.
The publisher acquired world rights in all languages to Across and Angry Sea: The SAS in the Falklands War by Sir Cedric Delves directly from him, with the book set to be released with November.
Delves commanded D Squadron, 22 SAS during the Falklands War. Theirs was the first Union Jack raised over Government House in Stanley.
Michael Dwyer, m.d. and publisher at Hurst, said: “Hurst is delighted to have signed such a compellingly written, realistic and non-sensationalised account of the SAS in which Lt-Gen Delves also reflects on the broader strategic and tactical prosecution of the Falklands War. He and Sir Max Hastings met as British forces, including 22 SAS, closed in on Port Stanley.”
