The next title in Scholastic UK’s A Life Story series will explore the "exceptional and inspirational" life of sports star Emma Raducanu, with the title to be written by Sally Morgan.
The series immerses young readers into the lives of modern society’s most influential figures, including Captain Sir Tom Moore (also written by Morgan), Kamala Harris, David Attenborough, Katherine Johnson and Alan Turing. Emma Raducanu: A Life Story will be published in November 2021.
The publisher explained: "Emma Raducanu has taken the world by storm. From her fourth-round Wimbledon retirement in July 2021 to her stunning win at the US Open – not dropping a single set – Raducanu’s rise has been meteoric. Though still just 18, Emma Raducanu: A Life Story is the perfect way for young readers to discover the fascinating facts and inspirational moments from the life of this tennis superstar, the first British female player to win a Grand Slam title in over 40 years.
