Second US deal for Katie Fforde with Bookouture

Bookouture is publishing three more Katie Fforde novels in the US: A Vintage Wedding, A French Affair and A Secret Garden.

Publisher Claire Bord acquired US e-book rights for the British romances from Bill Hamilton at A M Heath to publish over the summer 2017.

Bookouture said the US was "huge market" for its e-books. The deal follows a previous three-book deal first introducing Fforde's novels to the US market last year with the publication of A Summer at Sea, Summer of Love and Recipe for Love.

Bord said: "Last year, Bookouture sold over 2.5 million copies in the US, achieving 11 Kindle top-10s including a no.1 bestseller.  

"It’s a huge market for us and one in which we are continuing to build momentum for our authors. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Katie’s much-loved novels to her growing US audience."

Fforde commented: "I do hope these books, full of English eccentricity and plenty of romance, hit the spot with US readers."
